Am Mittwoch wurde eine Frau* in Simmering, Wien womöglich von ihrem Ehemann ermordet. Auch wenn noch nicht mit Sicherheit wissen, ob der Ehemann der Täter war, wollen wir auf die Straße gehen. Denn auch Dienstagfrüh wurde in Vöcklabruck eine 79-jährige Frau* von ihrem Ehemann ermordet, bevor dieser Suizid beging. Wir wissen nicht, wie selbstbestimmt dieser Tod seitens der Frau* war. Diese fälschlicherweise als "Doppelsuizide" benannten Morde basieren nicht selten auf patriarchalen Vorstellungen sowie Abhängigkeiten. Deshalb nehmen wird diesen vermeintlichen Suizid bzw. Mord in die Liste der Feminizide auf.

In den letzten Wochen waren wir laut, wir waren viele und schockiert auf der Straße, die Anzahl der Feminizide ist erschütternd. Und auch wenn wir nicht wissen, ob der letzte Mord ein Feminizid war, wollen wir auf die Straße gehen. Denn wir wollen nicht nur gegen die krasseste Form vergeschlechtlichter Gewalt - den Mord - kämpfen, sondern gegen alle Formen vergeschlechtlicher Gewalt.

Diese Morde sind keine Einzeltaten, sie haben System. Ihnen liegt eine patriarchale Struktur männlicher Besitzansprüche und Dominanzverhalten zugrunde. Die Ausbeutung und Unterdrückung von Frauen*, Lesben, inter, nicht-binären, trans und agender Personen (FLINTA) ist fester Bestandteil unserer kapitalistisch-patriarchalen Gesellschaft, ihre Aufrechterhaltung wird durch ebensolche patriarchale Gewalt abgesichert. Wir wollen also nicht weniger als die Abschaffung einer Gesellschaft, die zwangsläufig patriarchale Gewalt immer wieder von neuem hervorbringt.
Wir sind so wütend und wir kämpfen kollektiv gegen diese unterdrückenden Verhältnisse und lassen keinen Feminizid unbeantwortet – für ein Ende patriarchaler Gewalt, für ein Ende dieser Verhältnisse!

Once again we have to come together because feminicides have been committed in Austria.
On Wednesday a woman* was murdered in Simmering, Vienna maybe by her husband. Even though we do not yet know for sure if the husband was the perpetrator, we want to take to the streets. As well Tuesday morning in Vöcklabruck a 79-year-old woman* was murdered by her husband before he committed suicide. We do not know how self-determined this death was on the part of the woman*. These murders, falsely named "double suicides", are often based on patriarchal ideas and dependencies. Therefore, we include this alleged suicide or murder in the list of feminicides.
[*We use the asterisk after "woman" to indicate that it is a socially constructed but powerful category. We do not know how the persons identified themselves.]

In the past weeks we have been loud, we have been many and shocked in the streets, the number of feminicides is horrendous. And even though we don’t know if the last murder was a feminicide, we want to take to the streets. For we not only want to fight against the most extreme form of gendered violence - murder - but against all forms of gendered violence.

These murders are not isolated acts, they are systemic. At their root is a patriarchal structure of male possessiveness and dominance. The exploitation and oppression of women*, lesbians, inter, non-binary, trans and agender persons (FLINTA) is an integral part of our capitalist-patriarchal society, its maintenance is secured by precisely such patriarchal violence. So we want nothing less than the abolition of a society that inevitably produces patriarchal violence all over again.
We are so angry and we fight collectively against these oppressive conditions and leave no feminicide unanswered - for an end to patriarchal violence, for an end to these societal conditions!

Una vez más tenemos que encontrarnos porque se han cometido feminicidios nuevamente en Austria.
El miércoles una mujer* fue asesinada en Simmering, Viena, posiblemente por su marido. Aunque todavía no sepamos con certeza si el marido fue el autor, queremos salir a la calle. Porque también el martes por la mañana en Vöcklabruck una mujer* de 79 años fue asesinada por su marido que seguidamente se suicidó. No sabemos hasta qué punto esta muerte fue autodeterminada por parte de la mujer*. Estos asesinatos, falsamente llamados "dobles suicidios", suelen estar basados en ideas y dependencias patriarcales. Por lo tanto, incluimos este supuesto suicidio o asesinato en la lista de feminicidios.
[*Usamos el asterisco en "mujer" para indicar que se trata de una categoría socialmente construida, no obstante muy efectiva. No sabemos cómo se identificaba a sí misma esta persona].

En las últimas semanas nos hemos hecho escuchar, hemos sido muches en las calles, estamos indignadxs, el número de feminicidios es estremecedor. Y aunque no sabemos si el último asesinato fue un feminicidio, queremos salir a la calle de nuevo. Porque queremos luchar no sólo contra la forma más flagrante de violencia machista -el asesinato- sino contra todas las formas de violencia patriarcal.

Estos asesinatos no son casos aislados, tienen un sistema. En ellos subyace una estructura patriarcal de posesividad y dominación masculina. La explotación y opresión de las mujeres*, lesbianas, personas inter, no binarias, trans y agénero (FLINTA) es parte integrante de nuestra sociedad capitalista-patriarcal, y su sostenimiento está asegurado precisamente por esas violencias patriarcales. Por eso exigimos la abolición de un tipo de sociedad que inevitablemente vuelve a engendrar la violencia patriarcal una y otra vez.
Estamos hartas* y seguiremos luchando colectivamente contra estas condiciones injustas. No dejaremos ningún feminicidio más sin respuesta, ¡por el fin de la violencia patriarcal, por el fin de estas condiciones vitales!
