Wir begreifen Femi(ni)zide als eine äußerste Zuspitzung eines Kontinuums
patriarchaler Gewaltverhältnisse. Indem wir von Femi(ni)ziden sprechen,
wollen wir die geschlechtliche Dimension und die zugrunde liegenden
gesellschaftlichen Machtverhältnisse, auf denen diese Gewalt in ihren
unterschiedlichen alltäglichen sowie zerstörerischen Ausprägungen fußt,
benennen.

Indem von Femi(ni)ziden als „Familientragödie“ berichtet wird, werden
diese Morde aber immer wieder verharmlost und entpolitisiert. Entlang
der bürgerlichen Vorstellung einer Trennung von Privat und
Öffentlichkeit wird diese Gewalt dem vermeintlich Privatem zugerechnet
und dadurch fälschlicherweise als individuelles Problem Einzelner*
begriffen. Die Systematik und Struktur hinter diesen Morden wird auf
diese Weise unsichtbar gemacht und von der Gesellschaft externalisiert.
Es wird der Anschein erweckt, dass diese Tötungen nichts mit der
österreichischen, bürgerlichen Gesellschaft, in der sie stattfinden, zu
tun hätten Aber das Gegenteil ist der Fall: Die Ursachen der Gewalt
gegen Frauen*, Lesben, inter, non-binary und trans Personen (FLINTs)
sind in der Verfasstheit der bürgerlich-kapitalistischen Gesellschaft zu
suchen. Eine Gesellschaft, die zutiefst von geschlechterhierarchischen
und heteronormativen Strukturen, von Abwertung von und Hass auf Frauen*,
trans, inter und nicht-binären Personen durchzogen ist. Eine
Gesellschaft, die Menschen in zwei Geschlechter einteilt und sie dazu
zwingt, sich darin einzuordnen - und die FLINTs dazu zwingt, sich unter
männliches Besitzdenken und Dominanzverhalten unterzuordnen. Die
Forderung nach dem Ende von Femi(ni)ziden ist daher nicht weniger als
die Forderung nach der Veränderung genau dieser gesellschaftlichen
Verhältnisse.

FLINTs erleben diese gewaltvollen Verhältnisse sowohl in der
Öffentlichkeit als auch im Privaten. Dass das Private politisch ist,
dass die „eigenen vier Wände“, die privaten Beziehungen nicht frei von
geschlechtlichen Machtverhältnissen sind, machten Feminist*innen bereits
in den 1970er Jahren stark. Dennoch wird die Institution der bürgerliche
Kleinfamilie, die patriarchale Strukturen reproduziert, gern als
harmonischer und gewaltfreier Ort idealisiert. Gewalt wird dabei als
Phänomen des „Randes“ begriffen und somit sozial deprivierteren oder
rassisifizierten Personen zugesprochen, obwohl sie im Zentrum der
Gesellschaft zu verorten ist.

Auch in der aktuellen Pandemie wird die Forderung nach „Bleib dahoam“
wieder laut. Für FLINTs ist das Zuhause allerdings einer der
gefährlichsten Orte, u.a. weil die Personen, die am häufigsten zur
Gefahr werden, die eigenen Partner oder Ex-Partner sind. Jede fünfte
Frau* ist in Österreich ab ihrem 15. Lebensjahr körperlicher und/oder
sexueller Gewalt ausgesetzt. Laut der Wiener Interventionsstelle gegen
Gewalt in der Familie suchten 2018 knapp 19.000 Opfer familiärer Gewalt
Hilfe in Gewaltschutzzentren und Interventionsstellen. Für Gewalt
gegenüber trans, inter und nicht-binäre Personen werden in Österreich
keine Statistiken erstellt! Dass uns mit ‚Stay at home‘ gesagt wird,
dass es richtig und sicher ist zuhause zu bleiben, ist deshalb eine
fatale Botschaft.

Wir wollen deshalb auch angesichts der aktuellen Herausforderungen
keinen Femi(ni)zid unbeantwortet lassen! Ein Angriff auf eine*, ist ein
Angriff auf uns alle! Nehmt ihr uns eine*, antworten wir alle!

Kundgebung zu sprechen.

On 1st November another Femi(ni)icide was committed in Austria - the
20th this year! A young woman* in Vienna-Penzing was murdered by a man
from her close social environment.

We understand Femi(ni)zide as an extreme escalation of a continuum of
patriarchal violence. By speaking of Femi(ni)zide, we want to identify
both its gender dimension and its underlying social power relations, on
which this violence in its various everyday and destructive forms is based.

By reporting femi(ni)cides as "family tragedies", these murders are
repeatedly downplayed and depoliticised. According to the bourgeois idea
of a separation between the private and the public sphere, this violence
is attributed to the supposedly personal and is thus wrongly understood
as an individual problem of individuals*. The system and structure
behind these murders is thus made invisible and externalised by society.
It is suggested that these killings have nothing to do with the Austrian
bourgeois society in which they take place. But the opposite is the
case: the causes of violence against women*, lesbians, inter, non-binary
and trans persons (FLINT) are to be found in the very constitution of
bourgeois-capitalist society. A society deeply pervaded by gender
hierarchical and heteronormative structures, by degradation of and
hatred against women*, trans, inter and non-binary persons. A society
that divides people into two genders and forces them to fit into it -
and forces FLINTs to subordinate themselves to male possessiveness and
dominance behaviour. The demand for the end of femi(ni)cides is
therefore nothing less than the demand to change precisely these social
structures.

FLINT experience these violent conditions both in the public and the
private sphere. The fact that the private sphere is political, that
"one’s four walls" and private relationships are not free of gender
power relations, was already a strong point of feminists in the 1970s.
Yet the institution of the bourgeois nuclear family, which reproduces
patriarchal structures, is often idealised as a harmonious and
non-violent place. In this sense, violence is understood as a phenomenon
of the "margin" and therefore assigned to socially deprived or
racialised persons, although it is located in the centre of society.

Also in the current pandemic, the call for "Bleib dahoam " ("stay at
home") is renewed. For FLINT, however, home is one of the most dangerous
places, not at least because the people who most often present a danger
are their own partners or ex-partners. Every fifth woman* in Austria is
exposed to physical and/or sexual violence from the age of 15. According
to the Wiener Interventionsstelle gegen Gewalt in der Familie
(intervention agency against domestic violence), in 2018 almost 19,000
victims of domestic violence sought help in violence protection centres
and intervention centres. No statistics are compiled for violence
against trans, inter and non-binary persons in Austria! Thus, the
statement ’Stay at home’ telling us that it is right and safe to remain
at home is a fatal message.

We therefore do not want to leave any femi(ni)cide unanswered, even in
regard to the current challenges! An attack on one*, is an attack on all
of us! If you take one of us*, we all answer!

El 1ro. de noviembre se cometió otro feminicidio en Austria, ¡el número
20 de este año!.
En Viena-Penzing una joven fue asesinada. Este no es un caso aislado, ni
un asunto privado, ni un asunto familiar, sino consecuencia de un
sistema. Los feminicidios son la culminación extrema de un continuo de
violencia patriarcal, de posesividad y dominancia masculina.

Sin embargo, al denunciar los feminicidios como una supuesta "tragedia
familiar", estos asesinatos se trivializan y despolitizan repetidamente.
Según la idea burguesa de la separación entre lo privado y lo público,
esta violencia se atribuye a lo supuestamente privado y, por tanto, se
entiende equivocadamente como un problema individual. Así, el sistema y
la estructura detrás de estos asesinatos se hace invisible y es
externalizado por la sociedad.

Parece que estos asesinatos no tienen nada que ver con la sociedad
burguesa austriaca en la que tienen lugar. Pero es todo lo contrario:
las causas de la violencia contra las mujeres*, las lesbianas, las
personas inter, trans y non binarias (FLINT) se encuentran en la
constitución de la sociedad burguesa-capitalista. La cual es una
sociedad profundamente impregnada por estructuras jerárquicas y
heteronormativas de género, por la desvalorización y odio hacia las
mujeres*, las personas trans, inter y non binarias.

Una sociedad que divide a las personas en dos géneros y las obliga a
encajar en ella, es por consiguiente una sociedad que fuerza a las
personas FLINT a subordinarse a la posesividad y el dominio masculino.
Por lo tanto, la demanda del fin de los feminicidios corresponde a un
cambio total de este funcionamiento social.

Las personas FLINT experimentan estas condiciones violentas tanto en
público como en privado. El hecho de que lo privado sea político, de que
entre "las cuatro paredes propias", las relaciones privadas no estén
libres de relaciones de poder de género, ha fortalecido la lucha
feminista de los años setenta. Sin embargo, la institución de la familia
nuclear burguesa, que reproduce las estructuras patriarcales, suele ser
idealizada como un lugar armonioso y no violento.
La violencia se entiende como un fenómeno "marginal" y, por lo tanto, se
atribuye (muchas veces de una forma racista) a las personas socialmente
desfavorecidas, aunque se encuentre en el centro de la sociedad.

En la actual pandemia es muy fuerte la reivindicación de "quedarse en
casa”. Para las personas FLINT, sin embargo, el hogar es uno de los
lugares más peligrosos; en parte porque las personas que más a menudo se
convierten en un peligro son sus propios compañeros o ex compañeros.

Una de cada cinco mujeres* en Austria está expuesta a violencia física
y/o sexual desde los 15 años. Según el Centro de Intervención contra la
Violencia Doméstica de Viena, en 2018 casi 19.000 víctimas de violencia
doméstica solicitaron ayuda tanto en los centros de protección contra la
violencia como en los centros de intervención. De las mencionadas
solicitudes no se han recopilado estadísticas sobre la violencia contra
las personas trans, inter y no binarias en Austria!
De esta manera, “Quédese en casa" implica un supuesto falso, ya que
entiende a las casas como lugares seguros; así mismo, se puede estar
dando un mensaje fatal.
Por todo lo transmitido, no queremos dejar ningún feminicidio sin
respuesta en vista de los desafíos actuales!

¡Si atacan a una*, nos atacan a todas*! ¡Si nos quitan a una*,
respondemos todxs!
