Es ist vielleicht nicht die beste Zeit, um an ein Reclaim the Fields Treffen zu denken, aber wir denken wieder einmal, dass die Umstände in ein paar Monaten besser sein werden, also laden wir Sie zur Reclaim the Fields Europaversammlung 2021 ein und wir sind bereit zu wetten, dass sie tatsächlich stattfinden wird! Also lasst uns diese Einladung in eine Ecke unseres Kopfes stellen.

It might not be the best time to think about having a Reclaim the Fields meeting, but we are, yet again, thinking that circumstances will be better in a few months.So we are inviting you to the 2021 Reclaim the Fields European Assembly and we are willing to bet that it will indeed take place! So let’s put this invitation in a corner of our heads.

Warum treffen wir uns?Retour ligne automatique
Reclaim The Fields ist eine Konstellation, die Orte, Kämpfe und kollektive Organisationsformen auf europäischer Ebene miteinander verbindet. In der Konstellation geht es unter anderem um den Zugang zu Land, zu Wasser, zu Saatgut, um die Selbstversorgung mit Lebensmitteln, um den Kampf gegen Unterdrückung und um Graswurzelorganisation, um aus dem Kapitalismus herauszukommen. All diese Punkte werden bereichert durch das, was jede Person einbringt: Fragen, Erfahrungen, Know-How usw. Seit ein paar Jahren dreht sich diese Organisation hauptsächlich um eine jährliche Versammlung. Es ist ein Moment der Begegnung, der Verbindung zwischen verschiedenen Sternen der Konstellation (Menschen, Orte, Kämpfe, Themen (antira, feminismus, global). Es ist auch der eine Moment im Jahr, in dem wir alle zusammen Entscheidungen darüber treffen, was wir mit RTF erreichen wollen.
In diesem Jahr, in diesem besonderen Kontext, sind die konkreteren Ziele für dieses Treffen:

 Verbindungen zwischen uns zu schaffen und zu stärken, den Teilnehmer*innen, der letzten Jahre zu ermöglichen, sich zu sehen und neue Leute zu treffen, die unsere Kämpfe und Fragen teilen.

 einen schlichten und einfachen Ort für Treffen, für Workshops, für Diskussionen über Themen, die uns wichtig sind, zu eröffnen. Diese Räume machen sich in letzter Zeit einfach zu rar!

 darüber nachdenken, wie wir uns gegenseitig unterstützen können, denn Solidarität ist wichtiger denn je

Wie wir beim letzten Treffen besprochen haben, ist unsere Idee als Carrots (Organisationsteam) dieses Jahr, nur die grundlegende Infrastruktur der Veranstaltung vorzubereiten, die es uns ermöglicht, uns zu treffen und auszutauschen. Das bedeutet, dass der Rest der Veranstaltung - und natürlich die interessanten Dinge, die dabei passieren - komplett von allen Teilnehmer*innen selbst organisiert wird.

Alle im Voraus vorbereiteten Skill-Sharing-Workshops/Diskussionen/Spiele werden eine geschätzte und schöne Geste sein , denn sie werden die Workshops/Aktivitäten wahrscheinlich interessanter und ein tieferes Angebot machen. Also, wenn Sie an einem arbeiten, lassen Sie es uns bitte wissen, denn es ist besser, den Leuten, die überlegen zu kommen, einige Ideen zu geben, was diese Veranstaltung sein wird. Abgesehen davon laden wir jede Person ein, sich auf beide Arten zu beteiligen (entweder im Voraus vorbereitet oder spontan vor Ort) und wir überlassen jedem Menschen, sein Stück Kuchen. Und denken Sie daran, dass die Magie ohne Sie nicht stattfinden kann!

Lokaler Kontext
Cluj-Napoca ist eine Stadt im zentralen Teil Rumäniens, in der Region Transilvania. Wie in allen großen Städten, aber hier noch spezifischer, gibt es einen aggressiven Gentrifizierungsprozess, der alles einnimmt und die am meisten benachteiligte Kategorie der Einwohner trifft. Die lokale Gruppe, die das Treffen in diesem Jahr ausrichtet, ist Cultivă Orașul (Wachse die Stadt), eine Initiative, die die urbane Landwirtschaft fördert und in die Praxis umsetzt und sich um mehrere Gärten und einen Obstgarten in verschiedenen Stadtteilen kümmert. Ziel ist es, die Menschen wieder zur Landwirtschaft zurückzubringen und so viel Land wie möglich vor der Zerstörung durch die Immobilienentwicklung und die schädliche lokale Politik zu retten. Es wird die Möglichkeit geben, die Gärten zu besuchen und dort Workshops abzuhalten, vielleicht auch eine Demo zu organisieren. Mitglieder der lokalen Gruppe sind in der Reclaim the Fields aktiv und waren Teil des RtF-Camps, das vor 10 Jahren in Rumänien stattfand, zur Unterstützung der Anti-Goldminen-Kampagne Save Rosia Montana.

Der Ort, der alle Teilnehmer beherbergt, ist ein radikales soziales Zentrum, das vom A.casă Kollektiv betrieben wird. Der Ort wurde vor einem Jahr, während der Pandemie, eröffnet, so dass dort noch keine großen Veranstaltungen stattgefunden haben, aber es gibt die Schätzung, dass er bis zu 50 Menschen vor Ort beherbergen kann, einschließlich Küche, Outdoor-Zelte und Räume für Workshops und Diskussionen. Außerdem gibt es nicht weit entfernt einen schönen Kooperationsraum, der bei Bedarf genutzt werden könnte.
Aufgrund der Tatsache, dass das Treffen in der Stadt in einem begrenzten Raum stattfindet und wegen der globalen Pandemie-Situation, wird es einige Dinge geben, die wir anders organisieren müssen als bei den bisherigen RtF-Treffen.

Das ANMELDEFORMULAR ist ein Muss, um an dem Treffen teilnehmen zu können. Dies wird uns eine gute Vorstellung davon geben, wer kommt, welche Bedürfnisse Sie haben und was wir im Voraus vorbereiten müssen, um eine sichere Umgebung für alle zu schaffen.

Es wird nationale und lokale Einschränkungen geben, von denen wir hoffen, dass sie Mitte Juli nicht mehr so streng sein werden, aber trotzdem werden wir gemeinsam Regeln aufstellen müssen, wie wir untereinander und mit anderen interagieren werden. Außerdem können sich die Dinge in letzter Minute noch ändern und im schlimmsten Fall müssen wir einige lehrreiche Entscheidungen über die Anzahl der Teilnehmer*innen oder die Art und Weise, wie das Treffen stattfinden wird, treffen.

Why meet ?
Reclaim The Fields is a constellation linking together places, struggles, and collective type organization at a European level. The constellation is about, among other things, access to land, to water, to seeds, food self sufficiency, fight against oppression, and grass root organization to get out of capitalism. All those items are enriched by what each and everyone brings into it: questions, experience, know-how, etc.For a few years, this organization has mostly revolved around a yearly assembly. It’s a moment for meeting, for connecting between different stars of the constellation (people, places, struggles). It’s also the one moment a year where we make decisions all together about what we want RTF to be.
This year, in this peculiar context, the more specific goals for this meeting are:

 creating and strengthening links between us, allowing the participants of those last years to see each other, and meeting new people that share our struggles and questions.

 opening a plain and simple place for meeting , for workshops, for discussions around subject that matter to us. Those spaces are just making themselves too rare lately!

 thinking about how to support each other , solidarity being more important than ever

As we talked in the last meeting, this year our idea as Carrots (organization team) is to prepare just the basic infrastructure of the event, which will enable us to meet together and share. This means the rest of the event -and of course the interesting stuff happening in it-, will be completely self-organized by all the participants.

All the skill-sharing workshops/discussions/games prepared in advance will be an appreciated and beautiful gesture , because they will probably make the workshops/activities more interesting and a deeper offer. So, if you are working on one, please let us know, because it is better to give some ideas of what this event will be to the people considering to come. Apart from that, we invite everyone to participate in both ways (either prepared on advance or spontaneously shared on the spot) and we leave in everyone’s hands their piece of cake. And remember, the magic may not happen without you!

Local context
Cluj-Napoca is a city in the central part of Romania, in Transilvania region. As in all the big cities, but more specific here, there is an aggressive gentrification process taking over everything and hitting the most in the most disadvantaged category of its inhabitants. The local group hosting the meeting this year is Cultivă Orașul (Grow the City), an initiative promoting and putting in practice urban agriculture, taking care of several gardens and a orchard in different neighborhoods. The aim is to turn people back to agriculture and try to save as much land as possible from the destruction caused by the real estate development and the damaging local policies. There will be the opportunity to visit the gardens and hold workshops there, maybe also organise a demo. Members of the local group are active in the Reclaim the Fields and were part of the RtF camp which took place in Romania 10 years ago, in support of the anti-goldmining campaign Save Rosia Montana.

The place hosting all the participants is a radical social center, mantained by A.casă collective. The place was opened one year ago, during the pandemic, so no big events happened yet there, but there is the estimation that it could host up to 50 people on the spot, including kitchen, outdoor tents and workshops and discussions spaces. Also, there is a nice cooperative space not far away which could be used in case we need it.
The fact that the meeting takes place in the city in a limited place and because of the global pandemic situation, there will be some things which we will have to organise different from the previous RtF meetings.
The REGISTRATION FORM is a must in order to be able to participate in the meeting. This will give us a good idea about who’s coming, your needs and what we have to prepare in advance to create a safe environment for everybody.

There will be national and local restrictions which we hope by middle of July will not be so strict, but anyway we will have to set together rules for how we will interact between ourselves and with others. Also things might change in the last minute and in the worst case we might have to take some taught decisions about the number of participants or the way it would take place.
